Dual-Axis Solar Sunflower | Case Study in Wuxi, Jiangsu
2025-07-10
Project Timeline: June 2025
Project Location: Wuxi, Jiangsu, China
Project Scale: 2 Dual-Axis Solar Sunflowers
Technical Features: GPS-enabled sun-tracking system, synchronous dual-axis rotation
The system features a standard 2.4 kW sun-tracking Solar Sunflower, equipped with an intelligent dual-axis tracking system that precisely follows the sun's trajectory in real time. This significantly enhances light capture efficiency, delivering markedly superior power generation performance compared to conventional fixed photovoltaic installations.
A key innovation lies in the integrated nighttime lighting function. The clean electricity generated during daylight hours not only meets daily operational needs but also charges built-in illumination lamps. These automatically activate after sunset, providing consistent landscape and functional lighting enabling round-the-clock clean energy utilization.
This project not only demonstrates the exceptional performance of sun-tracking photovoltaic technology but also showcases a practical model of "self-generation and consumption with day-night complementarity." It serves as an informative demonstration for diversified renewable energy applications and the promotion of low-carbon concepts.
